New Year - Healthy Life - How we can all gain weight and how Claire Sweeney gained 2 stone just like that

Filed under: Claire Sweeney, Diet and Health, Ruud Gullit — admin @ 8:03 pm

Now Christmas is over and you are going back to work next week or even this week, it is not all doom and gloom  with an empty wallet and how come those jeans or trousers have shrunk in the wash over the holidays, or have they!

Here at Schultz it is time to embrace the coming year and tone up that tummy so your designer jeans fit wonderfully well once again.  The Schultz Strap will help with the tightness for a week or two but I am sure you don’t want to walk round with your buttons undone for ever do you!

So let’s get real and what are we going to do about it?  Over the new four weeks Schultz will add to their blog some ideas for getting rid of that inch round your middle that was not there 2 weeks ago.  It is not hard and only requires you to log on read up and do, it is not rocket science and will not mean major changes in your life, just common sense.  So get on board and come on the journey with Schultz as all of us in the office are doing the same and we have placed best who will look best in their jeans by February.

Claire Sweeney of “Cabaret” and “Brookside” fame recently gained 2 stone to show how easy it was to put on weight and how easy it was to become obese.  The difference is amazing you can read more on underwearqueen Claire Sweeney blog entry, where you can see some photos the before and after shots showing what eating to excess for a couple of months can do.

Also in the Daily Mail this week they also photographed Ruud Gullit the footballer with a paunch on holiday showing even the fittest guy or girl can gain weight - I do think that Ruud does still look hot though.

So to finish with I will raise my glass to the new year eat and be merry this evening and then along with you go on that journey to fit back in my jeans.  Happy New Year everyone.

Breaking News Moisturising Underwear!

Moisturising underwear undergoes test marketing

www.just-style.com

Recently I found this report about moisturising underwear and that it was going to be tested.  A new line of underwear which incorporates a hi-tech moisturising ingredient into its fabric is being test-marketed.

The unnamed product line of intimate apparel, currently being test-marketed by a global company, uses Applied DNA Sciences’ (APDN) proprietary DermalRx HydroSeal ingredient.

Part of APDN’s BioActive Ingredients portfolio, DermalRx HydroSeal uses “structural moisturisation” to treat dry skin, based on the biofermentation expertise developed from the company’s SigNature DNA and BioMaterial Genotyping.  “Topical delivery systems enhance the performance of active ingredients on the skin,” said Dr James Hayward, CEO of APDN.  “All garments contact the skin. What better way to deploy a skin treatment than through a textile?”

APDN said DermalRx HydroSeal, a complex of a yeast ferment, soy proteins and soy peptides, helped to enhance cohesion between the cells in the upper layers of the skin, restoring elasticity and the skin’s natural capacity to retain moisture.  APDN believes that its BioActive Ingredients products are set to generate a growing future revenue stream for the company.

Moisturising underwear is nothing new as this was reported way back in 2005 on ShinyShiny.tv.   “Because we all suffer from flaky bum cheeks, right? I know I do - it tarnishes my every day. Thank goodness then for these new (remembere this was 2005 - 3 years or if you read this 4 years ago!) Smooth Benefits Underwear pants and camisole. Aloe vera is embedded in the fabric, moisturising as the fabric is stretched through movement. Now I’m not one to rain on anyone’s silky smooth underparts but my mother always told me that moisture was the friend of the naughty bird word yeast infection. But if you’re willing to take that risk in exchange for a friction-free backside, you can purchase the underwear at Breakout Bras ($8.50 for the thong, $19 for the camisole)”.

Well at Schultz we await the results of the tests that started in October 2008, and maybe it will catch on whoever knows.

Womens Underwear - recent research says British women are rubbish at buying new underwear! We are not I protest!

In a new report that was printed in May by  Mintel, they reported that British women are anything but fashionable when it comes to buying underwear. Grey, saggy knickers, holey vests and fraying bra straps don’t conjure up the sexiest image! They go on to say “But this is what it takes for British women to go out and get themselves some new underwear. In fact, this research from Mintel finds that 60% of women will only ever buy underwear when it needs replacing. By comparison, just three in ten (31%) splash out on bras and pants for special occasions”.

“Despite the return of saucy Burlesque shows by Dita von Teese and others, check out the blog by the underwearqueen on wordpress she loved writing about Dita and what she gets up to and also check out the Dita Posting- Dita wears jeans here on the Schultz Blog.   British women still take a functional and practical approach to underwear, and clearly don’t see it as something that can be really sexy and alluring,” comments Katrin Magnussen, senior fashion analyst at MINTEL.

  • “The underwear industry needs to encourage women to go out there and spend their hard earned cash on beautiful lingerie that makes them feel really special. We need to see more advertising that is fun but also seductive, as the last time we really saw anything along these lines was the ‘hello boys’ campaign from Wonderbra, and that came out almost 15 years ago,” she adds.
  • Popular TV programmes such as ‘What not to wear’ and Gok Wan’s ‘How to look good naked’ recommend that women should always have a combination of structured underwear to look good and sets that are a little racier to feel good. And yet, Mintel’s research shows that only a third (34%) of women buy matching bras and knickers and a similar proportion (36%) still mainly buy multipacks. The message is just not getting through.
  • They go on to say - Britain’s women are also not investing in the underwear that they do buy. In fact, Mintel’s research shows that most women (63%) spend less than a tenner a month on their undies, compared to just 7% who spend between £21 and £40 a month.
  • What is more, swarms of women are now also buying their smalls from value retailers and supermarkets. In fact, although M&S still leads the way, with 51% of women buying underwear there, almost half (48%) went to Tesco, Matalan, Primark or ASDA for their bras and pants last year.
  • “Buying underwear at value retailers or down the local supermarket does mean that women get more pants for their pound. But buying cheap often comes at a price, as the underwear is unlikely to last as long as more expensive pieces and will need to be replaced more regularly,” explains Katrin Magnussen.
  • With women increasingly looking to bag a bargain, the market for bras and pants has seen only around 3% growth year on year since 2004, with spending last year reaching £1.2 billion.
  • “To try and stem the trend towards cheaper underwear, retailers including Primark and Topshop, are now introducing more up-market ranges to convince women that they should invest a little more. With some real care and attention going into the design and manufacturing of these ranges, they are also less likely to fall apart quite as quickly as some of the less expensive ones,” comments Katrin Magnussen. Men need to pull their socks up
  • And while the ladies refuse to shell out for new underwear for themselves, men still depend on other people to do their dirty work. In fact, over one in four (27%) men say that their partner buys their underwear, while 15% receive most of smalls as gifts.

At Schultz we find that the ladies that buy our underwear, love the exciting and flirty underwear and come back and buy even more, with new ranges on the horizon this will give our customers greater choice and more exciting straplines and colours.  Underwear needs to be comfortable is the feedback we get from a lot of our customers and Schultz Underwear for women fits that bill.  It is comfortable and made from 100% pure cotton that fits snugly and sexily.

Pink Heatseeker briefs have proved a very popular number leading up to Christmas - we can only guess that many of them were presents and nestled under the Christmas tree on Christmas morning.   So ladies let prove this report a sham! and that we are proud of our knickers we love buying new underwear and love to wear it and show it off so let’s buy, buy, buy and prove the statistics wrong!

UK independents saved by the width of their jeans!

Filed under: Blouberg Jeans, Great White Schultz Jeans — admin @ 12:29 am

UK Independents saved by the width of their jeans

In a retail trade survey held by Emap Drapers Record, UK Independents said the shift from bootleg jeans to narrow skinny styles boosted trade and kept sales healthy. According to those surveyed, the availability of cheaper fashion tops, dresses and jewellery on the high street has resulted in slower sales of branded options. However, when it comes to jeans, bags and shoes, brands continue to drive trend-led sales.

However, not everyone suits skinny fit or tight fitting jeans as they are not flattering if anyone has an extra ounce anywhere.  If you are Russell Brand !  Oh maybe on the other hand not!  Then Skinny jeans fit like a glove - Zac Efron is seen wearing skinny jeans a great deal but he is also a fan of boyfriend wider fit jeans which personally I think fit better and flatter the figure of men and women alike.

Schultz jeans have different cuts but all cut to flatter and not crush! Our Blouberg advanced designer jeans have a slightly narrow leg - but not to narrow and are a standard length leg. The back pockets are worker inspired and are stitched low, with a zipper on one back pocket and a drop crotch - meaning even more comfort and giving a great fit. Of course it has the exclusive Schultz strap attachment and a low 5 button fly. Made in dark navy blue denim jeans. For a change especially as it is getting to spring and summer our Great White Jeans are fantastic Exclusive Schultz Greatwhite designer jeans in brilliant white, styled for a casual fit. These designer jeans are made from a quality cotton in brilliant white with a slightly narrow leg for a fashionable look - but again not too narrow. Worker inspired low back pockets with a medium low waist, with one zippered pocket on the back of the jeans.

Fake Jeans - the story goes on and on!

Filed under: Fake designer wear, Schultz designer tees, Schultz jeans — admin @ 8:31 pm

Fake designer gear from handbags to jeans is still available from certain places, fake is not good and usually money is not used for growing a business, it often has dark undertones associated to it!

News at the beginning of the year said that a Bradford shop-owner has been jailed for selling fake designer clothing along with a story back in April about two men in Dorset being jailed for selling designer knock offs, we’ve been thinking that fashion-savvy consumers should be pleased that the police are cracking down on the lucrative business of knock-off clothing. Sure, you may think you’re getting a bargain when you spend £10 for a replica of a pair of  designer jeans that would normally cost ten times that, but as consumers, you’re losing out in so many other ways.

Designer clothing costs a lot because of the care and attention that goes into its production. Clothing designers choose the best fabrics, pay close attention to the detail of the cut so every fold and every line flatters the wearer, and they spend extra time on production to make certain that the clothing you buy holds up to repeated wear.

Fake designer gear may look okay on the rack, but it simply won’t look as good when you wear it, it will not last as long in your closet and, quite frankly, it belittles the creativity, skill and effort that goes into every piece of clothing that a fashion designer creates. In the end, wouldn’t you rather have one great pair of jeans that makes you look fabulous than ten pairs of cheap jeans that stretch, sag and fall to bits?

Schultz strongly believe in producing quality garments that fit the body and  make the wearer feel a million dollars.

Denimology featured Schultz

Filed under: Schultz jeans, jeans, schultz strap — admin @ 7:50 pm

We were featured on top fashion blog Denimology in April of this year. These guys are experts in the world of designer jeans and their blog is always worth a look. They did, however, miss one crucial thing about our jeans being designed to be worn low [and] loose which is that this also means they are designed to be really comfortable!

  • Quote - Here is a denim brand with a new angle. Schultz are making men’s jeans that are designed to be worn low, loose and even open at the fly to show off your underwear (which I guess they hope you have also bought from them (meaning us Schultzjeans)). In fact they are so keen on helping young men expose themselves that they have developed an integrated strap which fits on the inside of the waistband meaning that you can actually wear these jeans with the fly completely open without worrying about them falling round your ankles.

The Schultz Strap makes our jeans unique and different, with new styles in the pipe line it makes it a very exciting time for changing fashion and adding something different to jeans, setting them apart.

Pretty in pink - We love it

Reported recently in the press was the top 10 Sports stars that like wearing pink.  Pink was once just classed as a girl colour and not for men, but today men love wearing pink.  The varying shades available now have a shade to flatter every one - every man.

At Schultz we know that pink can be worn by men and women alike and they all can look hot and sexy.

According to colour therapists Wearing pink conveys compassion and an open heart and most people associate pink with babies, little girls, and feminine energies. But more than feeling feminine, wearing pink conveys compassion and an open heart.  As the Brazilians also believe wearing pink brings love!

When people are wearing pink, whether they are male or female, they appear approachable and capable of loving others. If you want to feel heart-connected reach for that pastel pink sweater from your closet to wear. And if pastel colors don’t suit you try on something in bright fuchsia. You’ll feel pretty in pink.

1:NICKLAS BENDTNER The dashing Dane was having trouble hitting barn doors with boots of any colour, but now he’s in the pink, he is in the goals.  “I love my pink boots!” gushes Nick age 20.

2 DENNIS RODMAN The first basketballer to date Madonna demanded nothing more from a quiet evening in than painting his nails, wearing dresses that revealed a nicely turned ankle and dyeing his hair all the colours of the rainbow. And pink. “If you don’t like it, kiss my ass,” he noted poetically.

3 PAULA CREAMER The American golfer couldn’t be more pink if she changed her name to Pinka Pinker. She loves pink clothes, she has pink golf balls, pink grips, a pink bag, a pink nickname (the Pink Panther) and probably has a Pink album at home. She may have some childhood issues to resolve.

4 MIDDLESEX In 2007, just to show how seriously they were taking Twenty20 cricket, Middlesex decided to support breast cancer and wear the sort of pink that looked as if it had been white until a recent Hotpoint catastrophe. “The players are 100% behind this and can’t wait to pull on the pink shirts,” fibbed Owais Shah. For £40, you could buy a replica. Estimated sales: 0.

5 MARIA SHARAPOVA As adept at brand enhancement as winning tennis tournaments, Sharapova launched a pink phone, a diamond pink watch, a pink tennis bag and even a pink camera. And the Russian even played in pink, encouraged her fans to dress in pink and ended up in the black. As well as in the pink

6 STADE FRANCAIS Under their owner, the in-no-way-attention-seeking media magnate Max Guazzini, the Paris rugby union club’s away shirt has been pink (with some super, camp lightning flashes) since 2005. Apparently he wanted to shock the overly butch rugby world.

7 WEST INDIES Clive Lloyd, Viv Richards, Michael Holding and their chums were perhaps cricket’s most scary ensemble. So, to level the playing field, when West Indies entered Kerry Packer’s World Series carnival in 1977, they did so clad head to toe in pink, resembling some far-from-butch Caribbean flamingos. They still won two of the three “Supertests”.

8 BASEBALL Major League Baseball celebrates Mother’s Day by encouraging its finest to use pink bats. But not San Diego Padres infielder Geoff Blum, who refused to think pink: “I love my mother but I will never swing a pink bat. She understands.”

9 T-MOBILE Cycling is not just about doping, you know. It’s also about men in tight-fitting clothing. And none fitted more snugly than the T-Mobile team’s (until the telecommunications giant stopped funding last year, citing doping). The company logo is a lurid pink. Ergo, so was the cyclists’ kit.

10 EUROPEAN RYDER CUP TEAM Europe won the 2006 Ryder Cup - and the fashion war. For the closing ceremony the Europeans wore matching pink jackets to heighten awareness of breast cancer. Was that Mrs Doubtfire at the side? No, just Colin Montgomerie.

In conclusion, anyone can wear pink and if you don’t feel bold enough to wear it on show just yet then start with some great pink undies from us, with a fantastic strapline that is fun and flirty.

Our ladies underwear tells a story and in the hot pink our hot sellers Heatseeker briefs are bound to please made from 100% cotton that feel wonderful.  Find out more at Schultz - ladies underwear.

Grandmas and pressies reuters

Oh no Grandma, not underwear again for Christmas!

SYDNEY (Reuters Life!) -wrote this week “

Thinking of giving your loved ones socks, underwear, scented bath oil or maybe a non-stick fry pan for Christmas? Think again, especially grandparents.” They went on to say “A survey by Galaxy Research found 72 percent of Australians regularly receive a Christmas gift they don’t like even though 69 percent of 1,242 respondents rated their present buying ability as above average.  The online survey, commissioned by the bank NAB, found the most unpopular but regularly received gifts included body and bath products, books, dressing gowns, slippers, socks and underwear.”  Yes they said underwear!!!

  • At Schultz we believe that underwear is a great gift not just at Christmas but for birthdays, anniversaries, Valentines day to name but a few occasions that underwear will ring a smile and the present recipient will love it.  But when buying underwear you have to know certain things:
  • Number 1 the size so check the undies draw and make sure you get that part right.
  • Number 2 the colour black is always a good choice as it gives off an air of seductiveness and sexiness and we all like to feel sexy in our underwear.  White is a brilliant choice as it is sparkling and also another sexy colour.  Racy red, perfect pink and  blazing blue underwear also hit the spot.  Schultz have an array of vibrant colours all that will please.
  • Number 3 the style we all have an idea of what we like to wear but sometimes we get to stuck in a rut wearing the same old thing and we need our undies updated and a loved one can usually make a good choice and buy a new piece of underwear that is sexy, fun and  appreciated.

Apparently “Grandparents were rated as the worst gift-givers in Australia with 37 percent of respondents complaining about their gift buying, followed by mothers at 20 percent and fathers at 14 percent. But it worked both ways. The survey also found 68 percent of grandchildren rated photo frames to be good gifts for grandparents but 44 percent of grandparents rated frames a “nice thought” but not something they would really want.  Teenagers particularly hated receiving clothes chosen by their parents, with 53 percent of teenage girls opposed to their parents buying them clothes although 70 percent of parents thought clothing was a good gift for their daughters.”

  • Schultz know how hard it is to buy clothes for someone else, but at Schultz you can look trough the styles and designs and know that these designs will fit wonderfully well.  The jeans and t-shirts have been designed to enhance and fit the contours of a man’s or woman’s figure wonderfully well.  Made from top quality materials we guarantee smiles on Christmas morning.  Again make sure you know the size don’t just guess, look in their jeans and t-shirt to get the correct size and then you know they will look great on Christmas day, nothing worse than having to take it back to the shop!

They went on to say “One in three parents, or 36 percent, thought books were a wise choice for teenage sons but 38 percent of boys gave books the thumbs down.  Wives and girlfriends most disliked getting kitchen appliances from their partners — but they were also rated the most difficult to group to buy gifts for, getting 53 percent of the vote. Fathers were left yawning at yet another pair of socks.  The researchers said the survey’s findings pointed to a miscommunication between different family generations as well as a lack of time to devote to Christmas shopping.  And finally it finished by saying that “It found 74 percent of respondents expected to be shopping the week before Christmas.”

From this survey we can conclude that sometimes we do get it wrong when buying presents, even though we may have invested time into buying that special present.  So when buying clothes check out sizes buy carefully and at Schultz we know that there will be smiles on Christmas morning when they open their presents.
