Calendar Girls released in 2003 was based on a true story. The Women’s Institute in Yorkshire England, decides to raise money for new furniture for a local hospital. They decide the only way to raise money is to do a nude calendar with members. The problem is all the members are OVER 50 The calendar is done and is a roaring success. The film focuses on some of the women and how the calendar affects their families and personal lives.  Starring Helen Mirren and Julie Walters, it was a touching film. Now Calendar Girls can be seen on stage.

Leading British lingerie label Ballet announces that they were chosen to supply all the underwear to the new theatre production of the Calendar Girls story, where was our invite? We have lots of hot knickers for those women imagine Linda Bellingham in a pair of “Coming Soon” knickers, Hot or What?  Or maybe some hot white knickers with the strapline “I Want Out”.

Other actresses set to appear are Gaynor Faye, Sian Phillips, Patricia Hodge and Elaine C. Smith.
Most of the underwear were taken straight from Ballet’s which can be found on Figleaves autumn/winter collection, although there are also a couple of special ‘nude’ sets created to not flash a nipple or two!

Calender Girls is going to be touring all round the country so it is bound to draw big audiences, so book your tickets to avoid disappointment!
