I have mentioned several times in the past that my obsession in underwear focuses around jockstraps, but on occasion I venture outside the pouch and the straps. This past week I reviewed a pair of briefs that are pretty unique. The brand is Schultz Jeans and they are out of London, England. They are known for their designer jeans but also have a line of underwear for both him and her. Just like the Dirty Fukker jock that I reviewed last time, this line of underwear is available for those who are local to Atlanta, GA at Poster Hut.
Since I am a person with a complete bias towards anything that isn’t a jockstrap, I am probably the best person to review everything else. The specific Schultz briefs that I reviewed are the “Coming Soon” briefs. The very unique thing about the Schultz Jeans brand of underwear is that they have tag lines on the waistbands. Besides the “Coming Soon”, there are “I Want Out”, “Hands Free”, and “Heatseeker”. Besides the catchy phrases the briefs and the boxers also come in several bold colors.
The briefs fit pretty well overall. I sported a size large and felt that was the correct size for me. They covered all the areas I would want a pair of briefs to cover. I did feel however, that the pouch could have had a bit more room in it. Regardless of this, I felt the briefs fit well and was very comfortable. The material used was soft and had a ribbed texture. The combination of these factors lead to a well assembled pair of briefs. I felt that the brief wasn’t like the old style of briefs that had a great deal of material on the sides but at the same time are not as skimpy as bikini briefs. I love the look of the briefs. The colors are bold and the tag lines are very eye-catching. I wore the briefs all day long as well as at the gym and they held up very well.
To sum up, I believe the Schultz “Coming Soon” briefs are great and have just a bit of attitude. This is always a good thing. I give it an overall rating of 4.8 on a scale of 5.

If you want underwear with attitude you need to check out these briefs along with the other styles and colors they offer. You can purchase the Schultz Jeans underwear line from their website at http://www.schultzjeans.com/ or if you live in or around the Atlanta, GA area you can have instant gratification and pick yours up at Poster Hut located at 2175 Cheshire Bridge Road.
Schultz Jeans has introduced a new idea that might mean the end of the belt: the Schultz Strap.
The strap attaches to buttons on either the outside back or inside front of the jeans. This allows you to wear your Schultz jeans low slung or even open at the front without having to constantly hitching them up.
Since the strap will be on display, it’s as much a fashion item as the jeans themselves. Each pair of Schultz strap jeans comes with two straps, which are interchangeable and “upgradable”: the company plans to keep issuing new designs.
For those who opt to reveal their underwear Schultz is also releasing a range with cheeky slogans designed to be seen this way.
It was only a few weeks ago that I wrote about the bid for the largest pair of jeans ever and then another country has a go this time in Crotia with the headline - Croatia claims world’s largest pair of jeans
A pair of jeans the size of six tennis courts, stitched together from thousands donated for charity, should be recognised by Guinness World Records as the biggest anywhere, organisers said on Sunday.
“We’ve made the world’s largest pair of jeans!” the Cockta Jeans Fashion project said on its website.
“People were bringing in their old jeans… and sponsors were immediately giving money for humanitarian purposes,” project head Boris Juric told national television.
The denims were put on display in Croatia’s capital Zagreb on Saturday after they were assembled from 8,023 unwanted pairs and auctioned off over the last few months.
They have a leg length of 45 metres (148 feet) and a total width of 34 metres and were sewn up in a local factory.
For each pair of donated jeans, the project paid seven kunas (1.30 dollars or 90 euro cents) to a local association providing therapy to disabled people.
Schultz love their Great White jeans read what GQ writer Style Shrink wrote about white jeans today in response to a readers questions. Read the full article at GQ. I wonder if he would like me to send him a pair of white jean?
In GQ Daily the question was raised
All white now
“I am finding myself drawn to the previously unthinkable, as a pair of white pair of 501s has caught my attention. I saw the feature on Steve McQueen and the Monaco watch in the June 09 issue of GQ and white jeans seem to fit the look. What are your thoughts? Am I destined to be seen as McQueen or Hugh Grant in Notting Hill? I am 36, by the way, so no indie waif look for me. Justin, by e-mail
I’m with Justin on the white jeans thing, however. And, like him, I find it slightly disturbing. It is along the lines of the fact that, deep down, most men secretly want a pair of white shoes. My theory is that there’s a little St Tropez in us all. (Either that or I am secretly channelling Flavio Briatore - rather tellingly I invested in a navy-and-white woven belt in Italy so it’s Portofino ahoy for me.)
So I think Justin would look the Steve’s knees in white 501s. He also asks what to pair the look with. I would suggest a blue-and-white striped T-shirt from Uniqlo (now fantastic value at £10 a pair, 020-8244 9200). I also have my eye on what I think is the best yacht blouson of the summer from Belstaff, in navy with a lobster trim (£328, 020-7495 5897). For the feet I recommend a pair of suede desert boots from Church’s, in either and ink or a navy blue (from £160, 0207-734 2438). Finish it off with a pair of black Persol sunglasses and you will be set for summer and not just 24 hours at Le Mans.

We are a changing society and one that is westernised and modern in the fact that religion (yes I said religion - is changing and some faiths are embracing modernisation big time). In the heights of modernization! A church in East Sussex has unveiled a new seven foot high statue of a modern day Jesus wearing blue jeans (well they are not blue jeans! as the sculpture is made from bronze) and a casual wind swept shirt. Father David Buckley unveiled the £35,000 Marcus Cornish statue dubbed Jesus in jeans at ‘Our Lady Immaculate and St. Philip Neri Catholic church’ in Uckfield depicting Christ as a man of the 21st century.
In the statue Christ can be seen wearing jeans and a shirt billowing in the wind while his hair and beard are neatly and fashionably trimmed. Cornish’s sculpture was funded by money left by Winifred Gregory, 87, a member of the congregation who passed away last year, reports The Telegraph.
Father Buckley said: “You are always looking for new ways to enrich people in the experience of Christianity and it is good people can be open-minded to appreciate it”. “On the continent you often encounter modern representations of Jesus but it is not so common over here. We wanted a figure of Christ not in suffering but dynamic and welcoming. He added: “We felt this design summed up the spirit and activity of Christ perfectly and I think it speaks for itself.”
Marcus Cornish added: “The sculpture is simple and direct and I hope it sums up the feeling that Christ is always with us and that we are not to be afraid. The statues clothes are being blown vigorously to add the sense of him being alive and his strength in defying earthly cares.” He concludes, “The clothing is loosely contemporary in order to connect Christ to his people now as much as to his past. I hope this sculpture will inspire and communicate in very human terms, reaching out and being relevant to both the congregation and local community.
Apparently in NASHVILLE — Tennessee is trying to become the first state to encourages teenagers to pull up their jeans kicking them in their wallets. Nashville are not the first to try to outlaw the low slung saggy jeans style, a national fad worn mostly by young men that apparently offends many because the legwear is drooped enough to expose the underwear (or worse) the crack of their bottom! Even President Barack Obama has said it’s a fashion no-no as his inteview by MTV many moons ago .
Tennessee might be the first to succeed though because a proposal remains alive in the Legislature to levy a fine of up to $250 and 160 hours of community service for wearing jeans “below the person’s waistline … in a manner that exposes the person’s underwear or bare buttocks.” The sponsor likes to joke it’s an “anti-crack bill, because people are tired of seeing the crack of folks’ butts.”
“No one has money that they can throw away for bad behavior,” said the Memphis Democrat. “If you want to get my attention, you fine me a certain amount of money, and you got my attention. I’m not going to do it again.”
The debate rages on and I am sure it will not deter people that much you could have fined many a young lady back in the 60’s when the mini skirt became very fashionable and they flashed their upper thighs and even their cheek bottoms! According to the ones in charge! they say “We want Americans to look decent,” said Ford, a Charleston Democrat. “It doesn’t make sense for anybody to be looking like a thug.”
My reply is “Wearing Jeans low slung does not show that you are thug! It may be in the eyes of those that probably don’t wear jeans or even understand jeans look messy but it is Urban Fashion and comfort wear”. I feel these people should just relax and go with the flow!
Diana Carter, a ninth-grade teacher at Plantation High School in Plantation, Fla., thinks making saggy jeans or pants illegal will work. “If you legislate it, I think we will have a better response to it,” she said. “I know people are going to say … you’re taking away their rights to be individuals. But I also have a right not to look at your underwear.” Carter apparently helped organize a “Pull Up Your Pants Day” at her school that was inspired by an MTV interview with then-Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama, who stopped short of endorsing new laws on the matter.
While some are offended by the style, others are more offended by attempts to outlaw it.
“It’s a bill that would criminalize people who wear their pants a certain way,” said Kamilah Turner, a Memphis attorney who was so outraged by Towns’ bill that she drove over 200 miles to speak out against it before a House panel. “It will be used to single out certain persons to be stopped and … possibly arrested on other matters.”
Others contend such a law is unconstitutional. Tennessee’s attorney general said in an opinion last week that Towns’ proposal is “arguably unconstitutionally vague because it does not set forth a standard for its violation that may be readily understood.”
Either way as there are always two sides in a argument youngsters like to wear their jeans low slung and comfortable and I do not believe that you should outlaw such a fashion what next outlaw bikinis on the beach, wearing no bras! or whatever!
Wear your jeans how you like as long as you feel comfortable.

Found this little gem on the Internet at a time when we are all trying our very best and have the best intentions to drop a jeans size without munching on lettuce leaves or Ryvita found this and it made me giggle. It started by asking are your “Jeans a little too tight? Having a tiny bit of muffin top going on?” Well I have to read on because the picture was intriguing to say the least.
“Well here is a solution to stretching out the waistband of your beloved jeans. THE WAISTBAND STRETCHER”. According to the writer she said the following “So these things may look hilarious - I know - but they actually do work! I have had to accommodate before and use a regular trousers hanger which was luckily enough just the right size to fit the waist of my jeans and it has stretched them out perfectly. You can dampen the waist of the jeans first before using the stretcher and it will help to stretch them out better! It certainly saves time and money over buying new jeans! Or maybe you don’t want to spend any money on a stretcher, why not just wet stretch your jeans whilst wearing them. Note from me - this can be a little uncomfortable wet jeans! According to the article write she “has done it many times before, just put your jeans on and dampen the waist and tug at it a lot or dampen the butt area and do some light squats (careful not to rip your jeans - especially if they are Rock & Republic or a thin denim) and leg stretches. Whatever you choose to do, stretching the waist and wet stretching really does work on your denim, so why not give it a go if your jeans are a little tight? You just might get some good exercise in while you are at it!”
